When Your Ads Quote Prices, You Are Locked In  

I saw this riding mower parked out front in somebody’s lawn up in Green Lake, Wisconsin last Summer.  The “Free / Firm” sign seemed wonderfully droll so I took this picture.

What I didn’t get a chance to shoot was the other side of the sign that read “$50 / Firm.”  It had been posted on the decrepit tractor a mere two hours earlier.

Apparently when you want something like this out of your life–or at least out of your garage–the notion of ‘firm’ is fungible.
